Mike Brice : Associate

BSc (Geology) MSc (Soil Mechanics and Engineering Seismology) DIC CGeol
Member, British Geotechnical Association

Over the course of a 25-year career in consulting, Mike has accumulated experience in virtually all aspects of geotechnical engineering. This broad experience, combined with his academic studies, have given him a profound understanding of geological processes and soil behaviour in both empirical and theoretical terms. This has led to a highly adaptable problem-solving capability which enables him to deal successfully with problems requiring innovative analytical approaches (for example large offshore structures on unusual soils) as well as those often based on empiricism and judgement (for example the heave of domestic dwellings).

His particular areas of interest are those of specialist ground investigation techniques and the design, construction and stability assessment of reinforced and unreinforced earthworks.
